Membership Drive: Last Day for $50 in the Canteen!!

Today is the last day that American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), Local 17, AFL-CIO, will be holding its organizing drive in the VA Canteen at 810 Vermont Ave., NW.

Our Union local will give you the members $50 in cash on the spot for each VACO employee you bring who joins AFGE at today’s organizing drive.

ATTENTION PARALEGALS AND LAWYERS AND PEOPLE WITH A PARALEGAL OR OTHER LAW BACKGROUND:

 

AFGE Local 17 will host a pizza lunch for VACO employees with a background in legal work who seek to further develop their legal skills and might be interested in exploring how to do that by gaining marketable experience as a union representative in litigation matters in which our union local is involved.  The speaker will be a litigator who works full-time for AFGE and has made a career in this kind of work.

We’ll host the event on Tuesday, May 31, from 12:00 to 1:00, in Conference Room 730 at 810 Vermont NW.
